Karhula, Omnium Gatherum have carved a distinct
identity at the intersection of melodic death metal, traditional
heavy metal, and progressive sophistication - a style they've
knowingly dubbed Adult-Oriented Death Metal. Their latest
album, May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way,
captures that ethos infull force: catchy hooks, searing solos,
thunderous rhythms, inventive keys, and vocals that shift
between aggression and melody with ease. Founding guitarist
and chief songwriter Markus Vanhala (Insomnium, Cemetery
Skyline) channels a sweeping, melodic intensity throughout,
balancing heaviness with a refined sense of melody and
atmosphere. The record's loosely conceptual lyrics explore
"stories from the streets" - tales of dreamers, liars, and
wanderers set against a backdrop of addiction, rebellion, and
