TYPE O NEGATIVE October Rust (2021 US 15-track double LP, pressed on striking green and black mixed vinyl by Run Out Groove Records, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve. A truly essential edition and the first copy we’ve seen here, this release captures the band at the height of their gothic, melancholic grandeur. Highlights include the lushly romantic “Love You To Death,” the brooding intensity of “Be My Druidess,” and the hauntingly beautiful “September Sun,” each track showcasing Peter Steele’s baritone and the band’s signature darkly melodic arrangements. The sleeve has a minor seam split at the top edge but otherwise remains in excellent condition, with the vinyl in near mint, unplayed condition).
