Originally released in 1978 and co-produced by Brian Eno, the album marked a bold evolution in the band's sound - introducing a harder-edged, rhythmically complex texture while preserving David Byrne's unmistakably off-kilter songwriting. Highlights include the band's breakout U.S. hit, a strikingly offbeat cover of Al Green's "Take Me to the River," which peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard chart. This 2-LP edition features a fully remastered version of the original album on LP1, while LP2 compiles rare versions and outtakes, offering deeper insight into the creative process behind this transitional release.
