SEX PISTOLS Never Mind The Bollocks (Extremely rare 1977 UK
export issue of the classic 11-track debut LP with A3/B1 matrices,
complete with 'MADE IN ENGLAND R.S. 9-77' plain inner, the seldom
found large fold out full colour collage poster &a single sided vinyl 7"
of 'Submission' that was inserted after the decision to make the album
twelve track after all, despite a great number having already been
pressed without the track. This copy was shrinkwrapped by Caroline
[Virgin's export company] for shipment to the United States &
stickered with a 3" square green sticker stating 'UK
PRESSING' & that the copy contains the poster & the 7", with the UK
Virgin logo & the 'SPOTS001' catalogue number. This was also a
reference to the 'secret tour' [Sex Pistols On Tour Secretly] that the
Pistols were attempting at the time with varying degrees of success.
This particular copy was purchased from U.K. music
journalist/presenter Danny Baker & kept in pristine condition ever
since, so is a genuine one-owner record. You, the purchaser of this,
will be only the second person to have played it since 1977. The
sleeve, poster & vinyl all remain Near Mint & more importantly the
sleeve still retains the original opened stickered shrink. Almost
impossible to find these days in anything but 'much loved' condition &
almost always without the stickered shrink, this copy is a bit special,

Obtained directly from the legendary U.K. Music Journalist, Writer, TV Presenter, and performer's vast, personal music archive, the collection spans every era from Danny's storied career. From importing the latest hip West Coast psychedelic sounds in top London import record stores in the early '70s, to being a key figure in the London punk scene, and, not forgetting, co-creator of seminal Brit' Punk fanzine 'Sniffin' Glue'.
With subsequent years spent at the NME, a very long list of television work (presenting and writing) alongside a career in radio, it would be quicker to list who Danny hasn't interviewed than who he has! Provenance of any signed items in the collection is assured.
It's a great collection with many unique and collectable items, reflecting, not only Danny's long and varied career, but also his own deep passion for music.
Condition:
Sleeve - amazingly this copy is still in its open shrinkwrap, if we were being picky the spine has a couple of small spots [pun intended] of wear but that's about it. The iconic pink and yellow print is still wonderfully bright.
LP Vinyl - There are a couple of faint hairlines visible if held under strong light. There is NO spindle marks to the label - It would appear to have been played a handful of times - amazing!
7" Single - One minor scuff, that's it.
