(2008 US <B>exclusive</B> Strictly Limited Edition set comprised of
a 12-track LP pressed on <FONT COLOR="#228B22"><B>180gram
MARTIAN GREEN VINYL</B></FONT>, including the full score tothe
movie plus <B>Bonus 7" Single</B> pressed on <B>White Vinyl</B>
featuring 'Silent Night', 'Lord Can You Hear Me' & 'It's Christmas Time
Again', plus a <B>Bonus DVD</B> which features their fantastical
film freakout, 'Christmas On Mars'. Directed by frontman Wayne
Coyne alongside co-director George Salisbury [the band's audiovisual
technician], many of the film's Mars sets were constructed in Coyne's
back garden at his home in Oklahoma City. The film does indeed take
place during Christmas time on Mars, as the colonisation of the Red
Planet is underway. But when an oxygen generator and a gravity
control pod malfunction, Major Syrtis [The Lips' Steven Drozd] and his
team [including the Lips' bassist Michael Ivins] fear for the worst.
Syrtis hallucinates about the birth of a baby, and many other strange
things. Meanwhile, a compassionate alien superbeing [Coyne] arrives,
inspiring and helping the isolated astronauts. Also appearing in the
film are the band's road drummer Kliph Scurlock, manager Scott
Booker, and many other familiar figures from The Lips' community,
presented in a sealed and stickered pasted card picture sleeve) )
