Kiss' music is a commercially potent mix of anthemic, fist-pounding hard rock driven by sleek hooks and ballads powered by loud guitars, stunning melodies, and sweeping strings. It was a sound that laid the groundwork for both arena rock and the pop-metal that dominated rock in the late 70’s and throughout the 80’s. After various changes to the drum and guitar chairs, the original lineup of; Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter reunited to perform an international tour, complete with their notorious makeup and special effects that became the most successful of 1996. Subsequent tours have followed all of them sell outs proving the popularity of the band hasn’t diminished regardless of whose behind the masks.
