Erasure have always had stronger dance inclinations, as well as a sharper, more accessible sense of pop song craft, than any of Vince Clarke's previous bands. The duo quickly countered the poor reception to their debut album ‘Wonderland’ with ‘Sometimes,’ a preview from their forthcoming second album. The single raced up the charts and reached number two on the U.K, beginning a string of successful singles that would run into the '90s. In 1992 they released the ‘Abba-esque EP’, a tribute to the Swedish pop sensations that gave them their first number one single in the U.K. The duo continued to release well received albums into the new millennium and found a real return to form with 2005’s ‘Nightbird’. With two decades of dance floor fillers an fantastic pop to choose from, there is no shortage of back catalogue rarities, amazing memorabilia and quality collectibles, all available right here in our specialist Erasure collectors store… |
