Issued for a brief few months, exclusively for the Universal Record Club mail order subscribers in New South Wales, this LP is incredibly difficult to come by.
The Bee Gees had released two albums in Australia prior to their Robert Stigwood contract & return to England. Those two albums are now almost impossible to find and they were, unlike this one, actually sold in record shops. This one only came by mail & was never on general release.
Condition-wise, this is 'A Beaut'.
The unlaminated back is still white, has obviously been kept in a smoke free environment and is free of any writing.
There is a sticker correction to the tracklisting on side one, but that would have been common to every copy. Shelfwear itself it at an absolute minimum.
Upon looking very closely, there are two small pinholes visible to the top right & bottom left corners at the back. When this happened, or why, is unknown.
As regards the laminated front, equally white. There is the smallest amount of laminate creasing at the bottom right corner, but that too is pretty much it.
The spine is unsquashed and easy to read.
The vinyl remains in astonishing near 'as new' condition, with just a couple of light spindle marks around the centre hole to give any real clue that this once graced a turntable. There will be no better vinyl than this anywhere in the world.
If you've had no luck tracking down those first two Australian Bee Gees albums, this might just keep you going until then !
