PHIL SPECTOR Da Doo Ron Ron: The Story Of Phil Spector (2009 issue UK Region 0 NTSC DVD - In 1982, film maker Binia Tymieniecka set about making 'Da Doo Ron Ron: The Story Of Phil Spector'. The film was first broadcast in the UK by Channel 4 in January 1985, featuring fantastic early sixties footage of Phil Spector writing songs in his mansion and rehearsing soings with The Blossoms in the studio. Aswell as presenting a rare and fascinating insight in to Phil's eccentirc personality through interviews with The Ramones, Ehmet Ertegun, Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller, Jeff Barry, Lester Still, Sonny Bono, Bumps Blackwell, Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector and more. Gold Star Studio engineers Stan Ross and Larry Levine explain the secret of the 'Wall Of Sound' and legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer provides important Spector facts and shows us his Rock N'Roll collection).
