Beatles '65 was released in December 1964 and is the The Beatles fourth Capitol release, but sixth American album. Beatles '65 includes most of the songs from Beatles for Sale, but omitting 'Eight Days a Week', 'Words of Love', 'Every Little Thing', 'I Don't Want to Spoil the Party', 'What You're Doing', and the 'Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey' medley, which would show up later in Beatles VI. It instead included 'I'll Be Back' from A Hard Day's Night album and includes the single 'I Feel Fine' / 'She's A Woman'. These two latter songs were remixed into 'duophonic' [fake] stereo and drenched in echo by Capitol Records' executive Dave Dexter, Jr. to cover up the use of the mono mixes sent from England.
Condition
The sleeve design is front pasted with catalogue number and 'File Under :The Beatles' text at the top. The slick on the front of the album tends to vary in colour from grey to green depending on where they were printed; this copy is greener than grey indicating that originates from Queens Lithos in New York, there is no factory number on the reverse.
Although not sealed the sleeve shows only minor wear to the edges and just light signs of age yellowing on the back, and hardly worth a mention. The print on the spine is legible with some light rippling evident.
The vinyl is strictly graded very good, there are a few minor surface marks/hairlines and the labels have just a few light spindle marks. We have professionally cleaned & play tested, we can confirm that the marks are mostly cosmetic & display no major deterioration in sound quality.
Great opportunity to own the highly collectable release at an advantageous price.
