The picture sleeve is unique to the New Zealand issue in that both the front and the back use the same image. The image in question is the one used on the rear of the UK LP, a sepia toned full length picture of David surrounded by the tracklisting and production credits text.
The double sided lyric insert is the same as the one issued with the US and Canadian copies of the album.
This album does turn up from time to time onto the collectors market, but seldom in this condition.
Condition:
Australian and New Zealand LP sleeves are generally made from thinner card than UK or US counterparts and therefore sleeves of this age are often showing considerable signs of age such as excessive ringwear or split edges.
The sleeve on this copy shows just a little light shelfwear with the text on the pinched spine clearly readable. There are no splits in the edges, and discolouration or wear around the contact points is very light indeed. Something of a miracle for an unlaminated sleeve such as this.
The vinyl is in perfect near 'as new' condition. Flawless, with no scratches, marks, blemishes of any kind. The vinyl is heavy, as original early 1970's pressings were. The RCA label is orange, similar to the regular UK label design but with the obvious 'Made in Auckland, New Zealand' text around the perimeter of the label.
A real gem for the collector.
