Live At Emerald City 1981 launches XTC's new official Live Boots series with a concert recorded at Emerald City, Cherry Hill, New Jersey on 17 April 1981. Capturing the band at full live pace, the set documents a period when XTC had developed into a particularly sharp and fast-moving stage outfit, just before live performance disappeared fromthe band's story altogether. Previously released exclusively for Record Store Day 2026 on vinyl, this special 2-CD edition marks the first time the concert has been officially available on Compact Disc. Housed inside a jewel case with booklet insert featuring new notes from all four original band members: Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding, Dave Gregory and Terry Chambers. As the first title in the planned Live Boots archive series, it opens that run with one of the band's best-known live recordings. Highly recommended).
