Originally released in July 1959 during Elvis Presley's
two-year army service, <I>A Date With Elvis</I> was part of
RCA Victor's strategy to keep the King in the public eye while
capitalising on the booming LP market. Compiling previously
released tracks recorded between 1954 and 1957 at the
legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, 20th Century Fox's Stage
One in Hollywood, and Radio Recorders in Los Angeles, the
album captures Elvis in his early, electrifying prime.
Featuring classic singles including "Good Rockin' Tonight,"
"Milkcow Blues Boogie," "Baby Let's Play House," and "Young
and Beautiful," this reissue is pressed on 180-gram green
vinyl and housed in a deluxe linen-laminated gatefold sleeve.
Limited to just 2,500 individually numbered copies worldwide.
