2019 German limited edition <B>Twenty Two</B> Hybrid SACD
[Super Audio CD - playable on all SACD and CD players] box set,
newly remastered in 24-bit. Between 1939 and 1945, numerous
concerts of Wilhelm Furtwängler and the Berliner Philharmoniker
were broadcast on the radio and recorded. For the first time, this
set brings together all surviving recordings of this period using
the best available sources. Recordings made by the
Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellchaft. Digitally transferred from monaural
analogue sources of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg and Stiftung
Deutches Rundfunkarchiv, newly remastered in 24-bit. All housed
in a deluxe fold-out textured box with the disc's spread over two
compartments in built-in wallet sleeve, along with an 184-page
hardcover book with details about the concerts and recordings in
German and English, house within a textured heavy duty slipcase
with wrap-around style obi card strip. This copy also includes a
bonus & sealed DVD, featuring a 14 minute long film of former
members of the Berliner Philharmoniker taling about Wilhelm
