BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON THIS TAPE

Considering that Noel only joined the band and played his first gig with them in January 1992 this is perhaps the earliest example of the band at this formative stage of their career. Recorded two years before their debut Supersonic single it doesn't come much rarer than this.
The enclosed documentation consists of a fax sent by Bonehead in his own hand to Shirl [A friend of Boneheads brother] who booked bands for TV roadshows. It even includes his and Noels telephone numbers at that time. There is also a handwritten note to Shirley from her assistant saying Paul Oasis returned your call, please ring etc. The final piece is a copy of the press article in a local Manchester newspaper highlighting local bands.
A little known fact is that Bonehead played an important part in getting the band work such as gigs and articles or features in the press and in effect played the part of managing the band till they hooked up with Marcus Russell in 1993.
The two songs featured on the tape are 2 mixes of Take Me consisting of
1. Take Me - Bass Boost + Sirens
2. Take Me - Original Mix + Sirens
The tape is a standard TDK tape with handwritten spine label saying OASIS - Take Me TV Mixes all written in Boneheads handwriting.
You are never likely to see another item with such provinence and background to this one which predates all other Oasis demo material..
