Mekon has created a musical montage that goes beyond dance music and electronics. The original Wall Of Sound signing Mekon returns with his third studio album 'Something Came Up'. This time the former member of Psychic TV and Agent Provocateur, Mekon [aka John Gosling] has collaborated with some of the more eccentric names in modern music including Bobby Gillespie, Alan Vega, Africa Bambaataa, Marc Almond, Roxanne Shante and Kevin Mooney from Adam and the Ants.
As they rose to fame throughout the '80s and '90s, Seattle quintet Queensr˙che's dense, layered, and often cerebral fusion of progressive rock and virtuoso metal always set them apart from other rock and metal acts of the day. From today's vantage point, it’s clear that their signature sound, driven by intense lyrical and musical vision, is one of the most distinctive in hard rock, transcending any easily defined genre labels. Originally released in 1999 on Atlantic, 'Q2K' both captures the band as a mature musical machine in its prime, and finds them breaking new ground after a personnel change (longtime guitarist Chris DeGarmo left, replaced herein by Kelly Gray). As they redefined themselves artistically, their dazzling musical interplay reached new heights on 'Q2K', now featuring rare and previously unreleased bonus tracks.
