Paddy MacAlley Utrecht NETHERLANDS Created Mon 19th Oct '09 10:06 (GMT)Velvet Underground & Nico - Back to Black vinyl version AND I found that the vinyl version and the CD-box version use the same (re)master. They both have a tiny little glitch in the sound (like a little skip) in two songs in exactly the same spot. The songs are 'Waiting for the man' and 'All tomorrow's parties'. Both the new LP and the CD are perfectly listenable with these little mistakes, but does anybody know of a Stereo version that doesn't have them? (the mono versions on the recently released vinyl singles box are perfect).[reply to this topic ]
matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Tue 11th Jul '06 17:03 (GMT)Has anybody seen this yet? http://www.alternativeimages.org.uk/ai04.html I reckon this is about as much as you're gonna get! I've ordered from this dude in the past, and he does a quality package, given the limitations of his source material. For lack of a suitable alternative, I would call this DVD definitive![reply to this topic ]

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 25th May '06 11:38 (GMT)Nice sleeve! Quite looking forward to getting this in! Although the track listing doesn't look like anything new, it looks to be nicely packaged, and VERY impressed by the full colour sleeve! Great shot of the band, rarely seen! The repercussions of the Velvets' explorations into sound are STILL being felt, 40 years later![reply to this topic ]

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 8th May '06 14:03 (GMT)how much? I don't think this is a high-end collectable, as it's just a comp of previously available tracks. Maybe £30 maximum?[reply to this topic ]

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Mon 8th May '06 14:01 (GMT)White Light White Heat MONO!! Has anybody seen/heard the mono mix of this landmark LP? Was kinda hoping after the excellent Deluxe Edition of the 'Banana' LP from a few years back (mono & stereo mixes, single edits etc), there may have been a follow-up on WL/WH, but not as yet! Surely this is crying out for a full remaster job with extra tracks/single edits/demos etc??![reply to this topic ]
