The album's eight songs range from funky jams peppered with Jerome Benton's trademark holler-style vocals to more stylized midtempo songs. The highlights are the lead single, "The Screams Of Passion", the too funky JB's-esque instrumental "Yes" and the original studio rendering of "Nothing Compares 2 U" featuring an exquisite orchestral arrangement by the legendary Clare Fischer. Anyone who's into the sounds that sprung from Prince's creative well during the '80's will surely love this album. | [reply to this topic] |
