| | Review: Paul Carrack first sang this song with the band Ace in 1974. It was the only "hit" the band ever had and has been covered by many other people. This cover, by Carrack himself, is as good as, if not better than, the original version. Also of note on this 2-disc version of the single is a cover of Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over", which is not a bad version at all. Also included here is a rarer live version of his Mike & The Mechanics song "The Living Years" with the London Community Gospel Choir. If you liked this song originally, you'll love this version with the choir. Quite a good little piece of Carrack for your collection. | [reply to this topic] |
