matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Wed 21st Jun '06 16:11 (GMT)Pressing? Does this have a textured sleeve? It should also have the groove notations 'How I'll Never Know' and 'Just Why Or Understand' (both lyrics from 'She's Lost Control') scratched into the deadwax....[reply to this topic ]

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Fri 19th May '06 09:29 (GMT)Beware the bootlegger! I've seen numerous variations on this legendary release, even some that were numbered but quite clearly NOT legitimate copies (masquerading as 'second pressings' - YEAH RIGHT!!!). The only true pressing has a black label with silver lettering; 'Medusa' design labels (full colour with solid centre, or in a blue hue with jukebox centre hole) are NOT the real thing! CAVEAT EMPTOR as they say![reply to this topic ]
Re: JOY DIVISION Licht Und Blindheit (Original 1979 French 2-track 7"

matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Fri 19th May '06 09:23 (GMT) Edited Fri 19th May '06 09:23 (GMT)Pressing? Need to check the pressings on these; originals have '(UK)' printed on the reverse right at the bottom (I think to differentiate them from the US import with the sides flipped), a wider groove (ie the tracks take up more space) and specific groove notations: 'HERE ARE THE YOUNG MEN' and 'WHERE HAVE THEY GONE' (in the JD tradition of using lyrics in the deadwax, these are from 'Decades')[reply to this topic ]
Re: JOY DIVISION Atmosphere (1980 UK first issue 12'' single,
with FACUS2/UKA/B label catalogue number, 2/9/80 release
date & groove notations: 'Here Are The Young Men' / 'But
Where Have They Been', also featuring a re-recording of
She's Lost Control, picture sleeve with '[UK]' on the reverse
bottom edge. This was released by Factory in the UK due to
the fact that copies of a US version [with sides reversed]
were being imported into the country. The sleeve shows some
light shelf/ringwear whilst the vinyl remains near 'as new'
with few signs of play FACUS2) View this product
