| | Review: A Colour Symphony by Sir Arthur Bliss I have owned an ancient version of this work since I was a student (early 60s) and had always enjoyed its various themes and melodies. I could not resist this version and have not been disappointed by the sheer quality of its reproduction.
I used to go to various concerts by Charles Groves all those years ago and met him on a few occasions, including at the concert he conducted when Murray Perahia won the Leeds Piano Competition, so perhaps I am a bit biased.
I thoroughly recommend this work if you are a fan of English music.
