dudebug Brooklyn, New York USA Created Thu 9th Aug '12 15:00 (GMT) | | Denny D'ell - A Woman Called Sorrow Denny was the lead singer of The Honeycombs and have always loved the way he sang. He had a unique sound much like Frankie Valli and Larry Henley (he of The Newbeats). Having all The Honeycombs records, I turned my attention to getting his 3 singles (of which I have 2 out of 3). It's a great tune done in Denny's inimitable style, and the flip side (a cover of Bobby Vee's The Night Has A Thousand Eyes) is great too. Well worth searching out. | [reply to this topic] |
