This exquisite item measures approx 11.5" x 14" & has a large mirrored apple logo in the centre surrounded by a black background with 1.5" mirrored border.This beautiful piece of memorabilia has only one tiny flaw in the top left hand corner of the black section where a couple of tiny bubbles have appeared over the last thirty five years. 	RINGO OR ROBIN Ted Heath Mirror (Extremely rare 90cm x 90cm pictorial mirror created by the RoR design company formed by Ringo Starr & Robin Cruickshank, dating from the early 1970s. In excellent condition, this mirror is 1 of 3 in a series of pictorial designs representing famous icons from the 1970s era. RoR was dissolved in 1976 and their designs are now very scarce - especially the delicate glass & mirror objets d'art, few of which have survived. See 'more info' for extra details. Tracklisting: RoR (Ringo or Robin) was a design company created by Ringo Starr and his business partner Robin Cruickshank. Formed in the early 1970's RoR was responsible for creating a variety of items, including official Apple merchandise, along with various other boutique goods ranging from novelty executive toys and desk ornaments to fully functional furniture and decorative mirrors. The venture was not a great success and their partnership ended in 1976. Now, almost 30 years on, their designs are very rare, especially the many items manufactured from glass, which by their very nature were delicate and easily chipped or broken. This mirror is one of 3 designs manufactured in the same series. Measuring approximately 30� x 30� (90cm x 90cm), the design is supposed to depict the British MP and then Prime Minister Ted Heath. He is represented in profile on the left and right sides of the scene, his chest/torso creating a valley within which are depicted the rolling hills of a countryside setting, complete with church, tree-lined horizon and a lake. Adding more weight to the Ted Heath image theory is the inclusion of a sailing boat on the lake - Ted Heath being almost equally well known for his sailing activities as he is for his political career. The overall condition of this rare RoR mirror is excellent. There is a 1cm chip in the bottom left corner - this is the only blemish to the actual mirrored pictorial. The metal frame shows evidence of a few knocks over the years - most of these are superficial scratches and could be largely improved with a decent polish! The four rubber strips that fit between the frame and glass, preventing excessive movement and creating soft buffer between mirror and metal, are all present, one each side. This mirror was last sold at Sotheby's in September 1994, and has remained in storage since that sale. Due to its delicate nature we are unable to ship this item outside the UK.
