THE WHO Exciting (Incredibly rare 1968 white label promo sample for the Japanese only Polydor 10-track STEREO vinyl LP release manufactured by Nippon Grammophon, housed in a superb and unique psychedelic-style laminated colour picture sleeve with scalloped flipbacks and Japanese text biography/recording notes on the reverse, including lyric insert. The sleeve shows only a little faint shelfwear with some light creasing by the spine - the flipbacks remain secure, the edges areperfect and the spine print clearly legible. The vinyl looks unplayed, retaining a glorious 'just pressed' lustre 40 years on with beautifully clean labels - simply stunning! SLPM-1385)

THE WHO Pictures Of Lily (Rare original 1967 UK Emidisc 1-sided metal based vinyl acetate for the 7" single with EMIdisc studios custom printed label with handwritten artist & title text. Written by Pete Townshend & recorded on April 5th 1967 this single marked their debut 7" for the Track label. The acetate plays the regular mono 2:44sec version featured on both the 7" and Direct Hits LP. Although the playing surface bares some noticeable marks, it does play through without stickingor jumping - a genuine 38 year old acetate in playable condition from one of the most influential bands in rock history!)

This unique Japanese-only compilation was issued following their 1965 My Generation debut album, and is second only in rarity to that first Decca release. This was the first LP to be issued by Polydor in Japan, pre-dating Sell Out and the other Japanese-only LP, Exciting. The laminated flipback picture sleeve bears a unique cover photo,and this copy has the original Polydor obi-strip intact plus the rare lyric insert - see 'More Info' for condition!)
