HOWARD RUMSEY'S LIGHTHOUSE ALL-STARS Flute & Oboe - Howard Rumsey & His Lighthouse All Stars (Unique 1954 UK 6-track mono 10" double-sided metal based ultra high-grade methyl cellulose lacquer acetate, also starring Bud Shank [flute, alto], Claude Williamson [piano], Bob Cooper [oboe, English horn] & Max Roach [drums], with a unique wraparound artwork sleeve hand drawn by a keen fan over sixty years ago. This disc was produced & overseen by a keen British fan of the period who witnessed the birth of modern jazz being exported from the States & also the homegrown variety, judging by the amount of Brit-Jazz acetates we have found from the same collection. This chap was also a keen illustrator.

The disc is housed between a 10" sized wraparound blue card sleeve. The artwork appears to be a unique line art idea.

The surface of the acetate is in superb condition, with few signs of cosmetic wear. This is a unique, homemade affair & one that could only have been produced by the hands of a true jazz fan.
Condition : This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description). We buy items as close to Mint condition as possible and many will be unplayed and as close to new as you could hope to find.
