Produced by their occasional collaborator/ bass player Thomas McNeice, 'Hope St.' is nothing short of inspired. Everything from the early R&B of Howlin' Wolf, to the prototype funk and disco of Sly & The Family Stone and the 21st century blues of The Black Keys is referenced here. It's a remarkably infectious, energetic and graceful piece of work from a band still in their early twenties, in their artistic infancy. Loaded with optimism and despair in equal measures, the record is a beauty. Includes the single, 'I Don't Know').
