THE ELECTRIC PRUNES The Electric Prunes (2000 US exclusive 14-track digitally remastered CD album - the 'Prunes' debut longplayer, hurried assembled in 1967 on the back of their hits 'I Had Too Much To Dream [Last Night]' and 'Get Me To The World On Time', was a patchy affair, dominated by tunes from the collective pen of Annette Tucker and Nancy Mantz; fortunately, the good material is REALLY good, so alongside fluff like 'Onie', 'The King Is In His Counting House' and 'About A Quarter To Nine' are gems like 'Bangles', 'Sold To The Highest Bidder' and 'Train For Tomorrow', as well as the A & B sides of both hit singles, this set also includes 2 bonus recordings: 'Ain't It Hard' and 'Little Olive', the A & B sides of their rare 1st non-hit single from '66, sealed picture sleeve with liner notes from acclaimed writer Richie Unterberger).
