For a more than thirty years old item of South American vinyl, it's very survival is a miracle!
The sleeve :-
The front is is intact & untorn with some corner creasing & only light shelfwear - very nice indeed.
The picture is basically the same as US issues, but with the difference that the red & blue colouring is accentuated & the picture is MIRRORED compared to US copies. It has 'ESTEREO' & an EMI/Odeon logo in the top right corner & 'Fabricado por Ifesa Guayaquil, Ecuador' text unobtrusively blended into the pavement at the bottom.
The back has fared less well ...
The flipbacks are still secure, intact & untorn.
The creases to the corners have led to some actual surface cracking to the unlaminated rear, following the shape of the vinyl inside. There are also a number of areas of staining & there are a couple of small nicks at the opening.
This is still, as mentioned above, still in amazing condition for a thirty years old flimsy South American sleeve and you would be very unlikely to find a better one without having to mortgage your house !
The Vinyl :-
The labels are clean & bright with minimal spindle marks around the centre hole, indicating careful play by the previous owner.
The playing surface contains NO exclusive musical content, so this isn't so much of an issue. For the record, however, Side A displays only a couple of light surface marks which are unlikely to be obtrusive if at all audible. Side B has a few more marks but nothing excessive that would affect playability although a couple on this side would almost certainly result in a small 'click' being heard.
As a piece of thirty year old South American vinyl, however, this is in extraordinarily good condition & should be appreciated as such.
SUMMARY :-
Whilst by no means 'mint', this is about as good as it gets for an item THIS rare, of this age, from this part of the world. Get it while you can - Even WE have never seen another !!
