JOHN'S CHILDREN Desdemona (Mega rare original 1968 Japanese red Polydor label 2-track 7" vinyl single ['stimulating, energetic, tingling, vigorous' - Melody Maker] written by and featuring Marc Bolan. This is the only single officially released d uring Marc's tenure with the band and was famously banned by the BBC in the UK due to the inclusion of the risqué lyric 'lift up your skirt and fly'! What we have here is the almost mythical Japanese pressing - the band's only release in that territory, and the first copy we have ever seen! Housed in a superb unique flipback black and white picture sleeve with a photograph showing John Hewlett, Andy Ellison and Chris Townson [but not Bolan!] on the front and a biography of the band in Japanese on the back along with lyrics in English
