| Tracklisting: | According to the excellent Rolling Stones web site 'www.betweentherecords.com' this original 1965 Italian issue could be limited to just a few hundred copies. Quite believable really, considering how few of these ever appear for sale. Incredibly, this remarkable find is in stunning near-Mint condition; as near to Mint as a 40-year old album and sleeve could possibly be. The Italian-made sleeve is laminated on the front only and it remains intact with no lift, splits, or peeling. The laminate is so deep it gives the cover a vibrant sheen and mirror-like surface - complementing the familiar David Bailey-shot photograph of all five Stones posing together. All 3 seams are at full strength, no splits whatsoever. The side-opening aperture is strong at the edges and has not failed at the corners. The back cover layout is unique. Apart from the obvious large red title print, the entire arrangement is different to every other issue. A much larger black and white group photo has been used - the UK issue had 5 individual images - naturally the Jack Nitzsche and Ian Stewart playing credits are printed in Italian, and the tracklistings are prefaced with 'facciata n. 1' and 'facciata n. 2' for side one and side two respectively. All this is printed against a white background which has begun to fade to an off-white cream colour around all four edges - but then so would you after 40 years in storage! The Italian-pressed record is utterly remarkable. Finding Mint condition records from across the European continent has never been easy - especially 60's records from Italy! The vinyl betrays feint hairline surface marks, and has obviously been exceptionally well looked-after. Upon play-grading this LP we were astounded. From near-silent run-ins and linking grooves the powerful mono mix has lost none of its clarity and begs to be played at loud volume. There are no annoying clicks, pops or other intrusive noise - just pure audio hi-fi from an original, heavyweight 60s-pressed record. We can confidently state that it would be impossible to ever upgrade this particular record.... a genuine once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. 1. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love 2. Down Home Girl 3.
