 cookies

What are cookies?

A "cookie" is a small piece of information that is stored on a web browser so it can later be read back from that browser. This is useful for having the browser remember some specific piece of information. All popular browsers support using cookies.

What do we use cookies for?

Our shopping basket relies on being able to hold the items that you have chosen in a cookie on your computer. When you place an item into your basket it is held in the cookie, and when you go to the checkout, the items are taken out again.

How do I make sure that cookies are enabled on my computer?

If you do not have cookies enabled in your browser then you will not be able to place items into your shopping basket.

You can check or change your browser settings by following the intructions listed below. The procedure may vary slightly between different versions of a web browser.

Internet Explorer 6
  • Go to Tools, then Internet options
  • Click on the tab at the top of the screen that says 'Privacy'
  • Then click on the icon that says 'Advanced'
  • In here select the option called 'Override automatic cookie handling'
  • Make sure that 'Accept cookies' options are both selected.

Internet Explorer 5
