Of Another Kind' and includes an unreleased studio version of Killing
an Arab. The vocal track & some instrumental parts are different and
predates the album version with a production rougher and more
basic. The sleeve dates the song from 1978 and states 'Eighteen Age
records' instead of 'Fiction' and it is rumoured that this version was
incorrectly included by Polydor. The laminated picture sleeve and disc are Near Mint. An obscure rarity for the true completist

Hi Guys,
Just to inform you that the album 'Escalator' has absolutely nothing to do with the original British Jerusalem Rock Band. Escalator is an album by Lynden Williams (ex-Jerusalem) and friends, which he and Mausoleum have called Jerusalem in the hope of making something on the back of the recent successful official re-issue (Rockadrome Records) of the only genuine Jerusalem album ever made in 1972. The biography on Mausoleum's website is also a total charade, which I am led to believe was written by Lynden. It is extremely unfortunate and sad that Lynden and Mausoleum have sunk to such a level of opportunism and I am sure most Jerusalem followers will not accept such an obvious scam. By the way, Bob Cooke (ex-Jerusalem) who is also on the album, did not want it to go out under the name Jerusalem either - quote "it is a different band let's face it". I sincerely hope that you will make it very clear to potential customers that this is not the original Jerusalem Band and sounds nothing like them. Jerusalem has never reformed nor could it ever reform without the 2 founding members, Ray Sparrow & myself, plus of course the late Bill Hinde.

TWO LP boxed set of the complete edition of Richard Wagner's
four part opera, Der Ring des Nibelungen, also known as The Ring
Cycle featuring the four operas Das Rheingold,Die Walkure, Siegfried
and Gotterdammerung. There is also a unique three record
introduction to The Ring set narrated by Deryck Cooke featuring
excerpts from the four operas. Each opera is in its own separate
wooden ended partition with full size libretto booklets containing
synopsis & full transcription for the operas. The performance is the
classic version by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by
Georg Solti. The whole ensemble is enclosed in a very weighty carved
wooden box with gilded front panel. The box and wooden/leather
spines do show some moderate wear & parts of the outer box lettering
have broken away over the past forty five years but the librettos are
complete, clean & undamaged & all vinyl is immaculate with the
exceptional audio clarity that only these specialist pressings on sixties
heavyweight vinyl can give. Please bear in mind that this monster
weighs in at over 11kg & measures 13" x 13" x 7", so please contact

I just received a boxed set of Bob Dylan DVDs with a booklet that went with it in a very nice green sturdy box. Everything about the set was well put together except for one essential item. The DVDs are in random order and there is no information where they come from or when the performances were done. It is a good thing that I have seen just about all of them already and have many on old VHS tapes. I recognized the performances when they were played. This is a fine addition to a collection if , like me, you have the older tapes and want something more durable. But for a new fan who does not know when or where the performances happened this boxed set would be very confusing. Just the changes in Bob's clothes, hats, and voice would confound a new fan. The accompanying booklet is also somewhat confusing, with most of the material relating to the Rolling Thunder Revue. The rest of the booklet, written by a different author, consists of track by track comments about the Dylan albums from the first "Dylan," up to "John Wesley Harding" and then it stops. Not sorry to have purchased the item, but it is not for fans who don't know a grest deal about Bob Dylan. Defintely not as an introduction to the legend. | [reply to this topic] |

As you probably know, when The Strokes were poised to release their debut album, the tragedy of September 11th hit, and the release was pushed back so they could remove the song "New York City Cops." I worked at a record store at the time, and we already had the cd in the back stickerd and ready to go when 9/11 happened, and we had to send them back to RCA. I think the release date was originally going to be september 18th. Anyway, after some smooth talking I convinced the manager to let me buy one copy of the cd before we sent them back. I have never seen a copy of this cd anywhere else. It has never been opened. Have you ever come across one? Is this worth anything? | [reply to this topic] |

I have this item: it was given to me by my father. He was ready to toss it, but I would not let him. It is in relatively excellent condition, the hanging instruction label and the stamp from the manufacturer are in perfect condition no rips, tears, watermarks, etc. The frame has a small amount of corrosion on it.
