bruce AUSTRALIA Created Fri 30th Dec '11 21:37 (GMT) | | Let it Be - Aust 7" 70's issue The single illustrated is actually from the Australian Beatles Singles Box (AB34) that was issued in australia on 1 October 1982. Easy way of telling is the Italics for the title The Beatles, I was involved in chosing the master tapes for 11 of the singles (22 songs) and reviewed all the label copy for the series and wrote the covernotes in the booklet and compiled the sales listing also included. Many of the boxes were broken up and the singles sold seperatly as well as eventually EMI released them individually after the box sold out, to help get rid of excess stock of the singles from the warehouse. 7" vinyl single, with Chris Thomas production credit on both sides.
Also includes I Wanna Be Me, housed in its die-cut EMI company
sleeve. The vinyl shows just a little spindle wear on the A-side [for
such a defining song, we'll forgive the previous owner for giving it a
few spins], but otherwise remains in excellent condition with the
push-out centre intact. A great copy of this legendary Pistols rarity

kittyjules61 San Jose, CA USA Created Sat 17th Dec '11 23:48 (GMT) Edited Sat 17th Dec '11 23:55 (GMT) | | Question to EIL: Hi there,
I have been searching for ANY information about this album for a while and your site was the ONLY site I could find the album listed. The only thing is that the album cover image is a reverse of what you show (Jean Martinon photo on the left, with large photo flipped with eyes looking in opposite direction). I would like to know if I can sell this album and at what price I could sell it for? It is in very good condition, including the sleeve - with only some light wear on the opening side, still has the plastic covering on it, although it was opened and still has the original price tag on it of what I paid. Can anyone out there help me? Please respond to my email address.

 | | Review: Blondie Thrills with new album Panic of Girls Blondie has once again presented us with an eclectic album reminiscent of Autoamerican with a sampling of various musical genres. This first thing that struck me as a serious Blondie fan and collector is that with this album, as with Deborah Harry's last solo album Necessary Evil, is that she has departed from collaboration with long time composer for the group, Chris Stein. For a serious Blondie fan, you can hear the difference when Stein has no longer composed the music. Nevertheless, the album remains strong. There are four versions of this album available with differences in bonus tracks or studio tracks. This Japanese CD has the 11 basic tracks common to all. D-Day is a strong rock song that is not about the WWII battle, but a personal reference to Deborah Harry, for which the D stands. What I Heard is a strong rock track written by new collaborators Matt and Laurel Katz-Bohen. Mother, already a hit single in the UK, is a pop tribute to a club Harry once frequented. The End The End is a ballad of long term commitment in love. Girlie Girlie is a cover of reggae hit. Love Doesn't Frighten Me is a Katz-Bohen song. Words in My Mouth is a song originally written for Shirley Manson of Garbage that Harry recorded herself. Sunday Smile is another reggae cover. Wipe Off My Sweat is a venture in Tejano music, the Texas-Mexican style with dominant Spanish lyrics. Le Bleu is a Stein song in the French cabaret style. China Shoes is the only Harry/Stein song to make it to the album which is the strongest, most personal song typical of older Blondie songs. But, what the Japanese CD provides that no other release does is the Beatles' cover Please Please Me. It is why I bought the Japanese CD. Blondie does not disappoint. Harry does a strong vocal rendition with a few changes to the lyrics for a female vocalist. If you are a Blondie fan, you must invest in the Japanese CD to get this track. | [reply to this topic] |

 | | Review: Size, as they say, isn't everything. This little 10" gem is a must-have for the Beefheart collector's vault, with a mix of 2 Mirror Man tracks and 6 tracks from Safe As Milk albums - packed into a varnish-print picture sleeve displaying that iconic Cannes beach photo of the band. Manufactured in England and distributed and marketed for Buddah in 1983 by Precision Records & Tapes (aka PRT, the rebranded Pye label), it's just possible the Captain may have come up with the sleeve title when experiencing French negative waves during the excursion. My copy of "Music In Sea Minor" from EIL arrived about as pristine as an original copy. So, it's an A-major for service from me. | [reply to this topic] |

 | | Review: First of all, I wanna say that this is one of the rarest Madonna 12" singles as it's pretty hard to find specially if you're looking for a sealed, mint condition copy.
I've been looking for it for a really long time as American Life is my most favorite album of all time by any artist and this song is one of the highlights on the album which I'm heartbroken to see it not having an official video despite being released as a single. I placed an order so that EIL would contact me when they have this sealed copy of it in stock and that was January, 2011 and in November, 2011 they managed to stock a copy so I hurried and bought it and I received it few weeks ago, it's absolutely amazing, in perfect condition and there it is in my rare collectibles treasure chest.
Thanks Esprit !
regards, RinoTheBouncer. | [reply to this topic] |
