Saul Watson - Product Promotion UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 8th Mar '07 10:08 (GMT) Edited Thu 8th Mar '07 10:12 (GMT) Edited 3 times | | Eil.com & Planet Rock announce new partnership Eil.com the world's leading provider of rare CDs, records and music memorabilia have teamed up with Sony Award winning DAB radio station Planet Rock.
Whilst these initiatives are still under discussion, there are already plans for both to contribute to each others newsletters (Planet Rock's first newsletter is about to hit the online community), work together on Planet Rock's featured monthly artist (this month the legendary Jimi Hendrix is under the spotlight), provide specialist pages on each other's websites as well as co-author a number of articles on collecting rare music memorabilia and classic rock music and musicians.
Initially the two will provide a series of reciprocal links between the sites to direct web traffic but longer term the two wish to add value for their respective customers through unique and interesting content.
Eil.com's commercial spokesman John Warner was delighted the two companies would be working together. "This was a real meeting of the minds. We sat down and started talking about how we could help each other's customers and within five minutes it was clear we shared similar beliefs, ideas and passions about music, our brands and our audiences. It was not a case of should we work together more a case of when do we start".
"With Planet Rock's roster of DJs boasting none other than Alice Cooper, Rick Wakeman, Tony Iommi, Gary Moore, Ian Anderson and Fish it brings our customers a step closer to the rock icons that they are so avid about collecting".
Jon Norman Marketing Manager at Planet Rock continued the theme "Our audience is very passionate about their music, we wanted to give Planet Rock listeners a chance to collect memorabilia from some of their favourite bands, whether it’s a rare album or signed piece of rock history. Eil.com has the expertise and skills to offer some of the greatest rock memorabilia that’s on the market”. | [reply to this topic] |

Stephen Borkowski - UK Buyer UNITED KINGDOM Created Thu 8th Mar '07 08:51 (GMT) Edited Thu 8th Mar '07 09:09 (GMT) Edited 2 times | | STOP PRESS - A Guitar from the King Of Queen
Soon to be arriving here at Esprit Towers - A beautiful Hofner single cutaway semi-acoustic electric guitar once owned by Freddie Mercury! This guitar comes with excellent provenance in that it was given to his friend, the UK radio DJ and TV presenter Kenny Everett who passed it on many years later and provided a letter of authenticity on Capitol Gold headed paper stating how he came by the guitar. It was originally signed on the body of the guitar by Freddie but the course of time and the fact that the guitar has been played, has all but erased the autograph and it is no longer legible. It is housed in the original snakeskin hardshell case and is destined to be the jewel in the crown of somebodys Queen collection. Call or email the sales team NOW to register your interest. | [reply to this topic] |

 | | Review: The angry singer is GREAT!! This is a great album and is the best after Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning which were great too. This album has the angry James on vocals as who I call the angry singer and this has several excellent tracks. My favorite songs on this release are Blackened and Eye Of The Beholder. This is another great thrash album to own. | [reply to this topic] |

 | | Review: One of my favorite METAL LPs I love this album. I think it is by far Metallica's 2nd best only the BLACK album being the first. This album has the band's best instrumental Orion which is my favorite track on the LP and is my favorite instrumental of all time. Battery is really great and Master of Puppets, Thing That Should Not Be, and Sanitarium as well are great tracks too. A highly recommended thrash metal album to all rock fans!!!

Yasuhiko Yashiki - Japanese Office Not Green Amber, Not Meopham JAPAN Created Tue 6th Mar '07 16:48 (GMT) | | Wigs and walking On Saturday I visited a branch of a well known store in another city
where they took care of me so well and eventually showed me some hidden
items and the quality of these items were superb (the best records are
always in the back...). The items were original issue of Rolling
Stones - Vol.1 ~ Vol.4 Jap LP - specially vol.1 and vol.2 were
both MINT. These will be in the UK in about two weeks when I next
ship.
I visited a few more shops in this main area and bought some really
expensive items from a store owner who was wearing a big wig on top...
then moved onto a store which is located in a very very country
side and I have to walk 40minutes from the station (can you imagine?)
everytime. I spent quite a lot with this store and hoped they
would offer me to pick up their car to the station as I am such a good
customer... unfortunately, I must not be a really good customer as I
had to walk.
Yaki-tori Amos in this area was very oishii (tasty) along with great
cold beers, but I quit drinking as I have to WORK work work like a
raven in the next couple of days (have you ever heard the black ravens
who crow 'work, work, work'..? when you next visit to Japan you will
hear them).
So far, a good trip... more soon.

Ugo1970 Pescara ITALY Created Mon 5th Mar '07 14:14 (GMT) | | A nice little record by Mr. Blunt! James Blunt is a great artist, luckily he has released only one album up to now, so getting his complete discography, for people who like him, is very easy! ;-) This one in particular is a very good purchase, as it features a very nice non-album acoustic track as a b-side, "Fall at your feet". Also the acoustic version of "You're beautiful" is great in its simplicity. | [reply to this topic] |

Robin Salazar - South American Office MEXICO Created Mon 5th Mar '07 11:06 (GMT) | | Gigs galore
This weekend and the ones to follow
are full of concerts here in the Mexico City area so I've also
highlighted some really interesting Mexican pressings that you really,
really should have in your collection. Starting last weekend with
Coldplay, who played a couple of totally sold-out concerts, which in general
terms were simply OK, think nothing spectacular (probably I am getting older and
prefering old stuff)... Next tuesday is the chance for Roger Waters who is
playing the 'Dark Side Of the Moon' which personally expect to be a
good show...in the next couple of weeks will be playing the Red Hot Chili
Peppers & 'The Who' which personally has been expecting it as has
never seen them live before...lot of more concerts action for the follwing
weeks with a long list of artists such as Ricky Martin, Placebo (once
again), Aerosmith, Muse, etc.....so if anything interesting happens here will
keep you posted. This week there were some updates on cd single from Robbie
Williams and Ricky Martin which should be arriving in my next boxes. More from
me soon.
