Throughout the early 80’s George Michael and his musical partner, Andrew Ridgeley, scored hit after hit as the chart topping duo Wham! As songwriter and lead singer, George gradually overshadowed the group and it was clear he was destined for bigger things. The 1987 album ‘Faith’, which featured a series of chart-topping hit singles, went on to sell more than seven million copies. The follow up ‘Listen Without Prejudice’, was a commercial disappointment even though it was another million seller. Two more albums followed before the turn of the century and both were greeted with mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. In 2004 George released the album ‘Patience’ which was a true return to form for one of the finest artists of his generation.
